Disagree!

In reference to 'cck89' blog posted yesterday, there are some points that I disagree with. I believe that the amount of technology used and absorbed differs between the purpose of use. It is stated that it is every one's personal choice to what extent they let technology into their lives. When in reference to personal use, I would agree but when it comes to business ventures, I strongly disagree. If you own a personal phone or computer then the amount of use is your choice. The amount of calls you make or the amount of information you search on the Internet is every one's individual choice. However, in the work force, it is not an option on the amount of time you spend using technology--it is your job. If your boss sends you on a work trip and is expecting you to update him or her daily on the events and progress using email through your blackberry, it is no longer a choice. Any person can limit personal technological use, but in the business world nowadays it is no longer an option. I can not think of any existing business that does not have at least 3 forms of technology implemented within. Are you able to?

  1. Yes this is true buisness now days do have many different forms of technology that are used in the office. As for the technology that people are expected to be using day and night becuase there working situations, yes this does acure. Do i agree with it "NO". I think that the world is getting way to caught up in all the new technology. for instance when a person is done his day at the job, I think anything after that can wait till the morining. Personaly people should not put up with sending e mails all hours of the night. But in regards to your idea of being sent on a work trip, then I do think that if your working then, emailing and updating your boss during the day, just comes with the job discription.
