Fraudulent Activities Online
Fraud online is becoming more and more popular as technology becomes more and more prevalent. The two basically go hand in hand. As we become more dependent on technology, for things like checking our bank account balances or even purchasing goods from the boutique from the States the risk in fraud is very high. It could be something as simple as someone stealing your credit card number and making purchases with it, and the worst case scenario being Identity theft. Identity theft is something that would cause a great deal of headaches to say the least. As we become so hooked on technology it just offers more opportunity to thieves that want to do nothing but harm people like you and me. We need to be very cautious when it comes to making "Secure" transactions online.

I do agree with your thoughts on how people are more at risk when using internet programs. The only disagreement that I have is that technology at the same time has made doing things like online banking safer now then it has ever been. Yes there is cases of identity thief happening all the time. I just believe that although these things are happening, the rate of these crimes is steadily decreasing everyday due to the great advances in technology.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with your post. It is not so much the older generation because most of them still don’t trust doing things like that on a computer. It is the younger generations because we are so use to using the computer and we like anything that is convenient. We don’t even consider that maybe someone could take our identity. Unfortunately I don’t think people will change their ways either because it is just the way society is today. Also people always think that won’t happen to me.
